Rev. Richard Towle

I’m the minister at Aspull, Goose Green and Standish churches, and also in pastoral
charge of Shevington and Crooke, where Deacon Kathy leads the ministry.
My wife Amanda and I met as students at Cliff College in the late 1990’s, and we are
both passionate about spreading the Gospel, and helping Christians grow in their
faith. I love to preach God’s word, and to continually grow in my understanding of the
Bible, and help others too, not just to know what it says, but to put our faith in it into
practise.
I was brought up in North Yorkshire, and was a Maths teacher for several years
before I came into the ministry. I’m in my 25 th year of ministry, and my 7 th year in the
Wigan Circuit. I have great hope that God will do wonderful things here, if we remain
faithful to Him. “Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever” (Hebrews
13:8).
