John Hughes

I am a church steward at Goose Green MC, and have been for some years and a Circuit Steward more recently. Both positions have there up’s and downs, but I enjoy the roles. I have also been a Local Preacher since 2015. I feel it a real calling and privilege to lead worship in our Circuit. When I can, I love to play and watch Table Tennis and after two knee operations I am able to play more regularly again. I play in the Wigan TT League in the 2nd Division. I am also an ardent supporter of Wigan Athletic FC and have been for over 60 years. I love my preaching and my stewards roles and they are really helpful in my daily life and my Christian life. I attend the Goose Green bible study and enjoy visiting other churches for evening services and communion and the circuit prayer and celebration services. My wife Lynne and I have been married for over 40 years and her help and support is vital and encouraging. I leave the future in our Lord Jesus hands.
