Claire Hewlett

Hello everyone, Claire hereI am the children, schools and family’s worker for Orrell Post Methodist and Bispham Methodist Churches. I also lead a Toddler's Group at the Queen's Hall Methodist Mission in Wigan town centre. I am mum to 3 boys and 1 girl, and a hamster named ‘Lil Ted’. I have a level 3 TA degree in understanding and supporting children and young people’s mental health and I am a Chaplain. I am a huge book worm and like to bake to de stress. I have a heart for the community and watching children and their families flourish and encounter God. My ‘job’ sees me doing a number of different tasks and activities that include running 4 weekly, term time playgroups, organising and implementing lots of activities during school holidays, working with the local primary schools to deliver assemblies and services that tailor to each year groups R.E topics, supporting congregation members and members of the community when needed, pastoral meetings and support, Christmas and summer fairs and many other things. I also plan and deliver worship twice a month and have enjoyed delivering lots of family services that have included Christingle events, bedtime nativity, crib services, remembrance, harvest and many more. My job has many roles from washing dishes and moving furniture to supporting at Baptisms and delivering Sunday worship. I absolutely love what I do and being a small part of people's journey with Jesus.
