The church was built in 1859. It was extended a number of times over the next 50 years. In 1971 a sports hall and other facilities were added when it merged with a neighbouring church and adopted the present name.

Whilst still retaining its traditional old village atmosphere, a variety of worship styles are offered. Sunday Worship is at 10.00 a.m. and varies from week to week. Each month we celebrate Holy Communion and may also include Baptisms. Other Sundays we have traditional style worship led by local preachers or by our own worship leaders. We also have services appropriate for All-Age-Worship. On the first Wednesday of each month there is a quieter, meditative, service at 7.30 p.m.
