Sunday Services at Standish Methodist Church

First Sunday at 10:30am – traditional style Methodist service, led by a local preacher.

Second Sunday – Parade and Family service at 10.30am. This is an all-age worship service and is usually led by our Children’s and Family Worship Co-ordinator, Charlotte. A bite sized session of Messy Church will follow straight after the Parade and Family service.

Third Sunday at 10:30am – Holy Communion service, usually led by our minister Rev Richard Towle.

Fourth Sunday at 10.30am – Local Arrangement service, led by members of the church. This could be all-age worship, traditional or a totally different style.

Fourth Sunday at 6pm – evening Zoom service, led by our minister Rev Richard Towle – join us from the comfort of your own home (see website for Zoom link) 

Standish Methodist Church exists to worship God, our Heavenly Father and to make disciples of Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit, by being:-

Open to God - CHRIST-CENTRED – "I am the way, the truth and the life" (John 14 verse 6)

Open to Life - CROSS-CENTRED – "For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life" (John 3 verse 16)

Open to You - COMMUNITY-CENTRED – "Just as I have loved you, you should love each other. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples" (John 13 verse 34)

The church hall is used by a number of organisations during the week including Yoga, Aerobics, Dog training, Tai Chi, Guides and Scouts as well as our regular Bible Study group, coffee mornings and luncheon club. ]
